Who is responsible?

Tayfun van Zantvoort is responsible for this website and for support messages sent to TeePad. Contact support@sellsiren.com with privacy questions or requests.

What the app handles

TeePad does not send your document text to Tayfun or to a TeePad server. Documents stay in the locations you choose. To restore your work, TeePad stores editor settings, open tabs, recent-file and folder references, and recovery drafts on your Mac. These local records can include file paths, workspace names, and editor positions. Optional backups are saved only when you turn that feature on, in the location you choose.

You can remove your documents and backups from their own locations. You can remove TeePad's local settings, session files, and drafts by deleting TeePad's app data from your Mac.

Commands you choose

If you configure and run a shell command, TeePad can give that command the active file path, folder, file name, line number, and selected text. The command may read or change files, start another program, or send information elsewhere. That depends on the command you chose. Review commands before running them.

Information sent to us

The app has no TeePad account, advertising, analytics, document-sync, or crash-reporting service. If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and keep the conversation while it is useful for support or a related legal need. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering support requests and handling related follow-up. You do not need to send document contents to ask for help.

Website and service providers

The website does not use advertising or analytics scripts. The website and support email are hosted by Hostinger. To deliver and protect the website and email, Hostinger may process technical connection details, such as an IP address, the requested page, and the time of a request, as well as the support message you send. We rely on Hostinger to provide these services and to retain technical logs only as long as needed for delivery, security, and abuse prevention, according to its service settings. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website and responding to support requests. We do not use these details to track visitors or build profiles. Depending on the Hostinger services and locations involved, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Hostinger says it uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including EU standard contractual clauses where applicable. TeePad does not use your information to make automated decisions about you or to build a profile. macOS also manages permissions and saved file bookmarks for locations you choose in TeePad. If you choose to use an external command or another app, that software may handle information under its own terms.

Your privacy rights

For support emails, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to restrict or object to its use where the law gives you that right. You may also request a copy where data portability applies. Email support@sellsiren.com. We will reply within the time required by law. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. There is no account or TeePad server containing your documents for us to retrieve or delete.

Changes

We will update this policy if TeePad's data handling changes. The date at the top shows the latest update.
